You mean what im getting at? Try reading it from when it started pg9 till now. Remember this all started with a statement of "There is something to be said for instincts and following your guts". I however am not going to rehash the entire argument just because you couldn't keep up with it.

Wrong. I became involved when this claim was made. I don't know, or care why you got involved.

Nothing great is every achieved by sitting back, looking at the "evidence" which points to certain failure, and doing nothing.

Did i say when you started or when this all started? Attention to detail should be second hand to a scientist.

    LANDSLIDE? Hidden Vote?

    http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/...go_660299.html

Remember what I said about a landslide? Look at the lack of enthusiasm that this data indicates, even in Obama's home state. Can't wait to see how liberals spin this one.

I have to say... I watched this thread over the weekend and I am encouraged by the discussion. And yes. Of course part of what I based my predictions on was gut instinct. Based on my personal experience witnessing other elections. I have been doing this for a while and I have had fun doing it. My best previous prediction was when I went with my gut and predicted my governor here in Texas, George W. Bush would be President way back around Christmas 1998... before he even announced he was running for President. I also previously predicted that Ross Perot would get at least 20% of the vote and either win or cause Clinton to lose to Bush Sr., and I was way wrong about that. What I missed in that election was that Perot had made a terrible choice for his running mate. He picked a complete idiot named Admiral James Stockdale. There was a famous quote from a vice-presidential debate back then, where Stockdale said "Who am I, why am I here?" It was painful to watch. Here is another excerpt of Stockdale from a vice-presidential debate:

    http://youtu.be/R6n5OQVzVVQ

Momentum was so far in Perot's favor back then that if he had picked a competent running mate, to this day I'm sure he would have won. But I was wrong.

Ultimately in this election I predicted a landslide victory for Romney because I still believe in America. I still believe in our system of government. I believe that America is too smart to allow this insanity to continue.

We do see government corruption, ineptitude, bias in the media and all the rest in this country. But once in a while we get to truly make a difference with our vote. To truly change the trajectory of the nation with our collective voices. This is an American tradition. Most of America believed that was what was happening when President Obama was elected. Most of America was wrong. But we don't always get it wrong. Overall we do a good job of governing ourselves, voting for the best candidates. This is why America has been the shining example of a system of government for the rest of the world for so long. We've lost our way and we didn't do that in 2008. So what?! I believe in our ability to make things right where that is concerned. Tuesday is our chance to do that. I don't care what your politics are, Republican, Democrat or Independent. In your own guts each of you knows what I am talking about. We need to fix the trajectory we are on now. And the best way to do that is to vote President Obama out of office and to give Mitt Romney the Presidency, and to give Republicans the house and senate too so they can have a chance like Obama had in his first two years when he failed to change things for the better. Romney has been clear that he is NOT George W. Bush. Any assertion that he is is just plain stupid. Romney intends to cut spending across the board and grow private sector jobs - it's that simple. President Obama doesn't - his own record has already proven that.

I do still believe there are political candidates out there who really are in it for the best interests of the country. I know most of you are jaded, even those of you that agree with me. But let's keep our eye on the ball and not cut off our nose to spite our face. None of us should be doing anything at the polls Tuesday that will keep the current administration in office or keep the current Senate in place. The Democrats have had their chance. And after we elect this new group of Republicans, let's ALL force them to keep their promises! Keep the spotlight on what they do.

If you do vote for Democrats and Obama - I respect your right to do so. But I also think you don't understand at all what is happening here because you will have voted against your own best interests. I know this sounds heavy handed. But guys, it's that serious. We cannot survive 4 more years of these kinds of deficits, no job growth and a shrinking middle class.

So anyway, I believe that most Americans understand what I am saying and they will be voting Obama out. And this is where my landslide prediction starts from. And now even states like Michigan are looking like toss-ups...

If you want to call that predicting from my gut, then so be it.

Still a toss up for most people. Honestly, landslide is a bit of an exaggeration. If Mitt wins, IF, then it will not be by a landslide. I can't believe anyone could believe otherwise, especially now with Sandy and the way Obama handled that and even got Chirstie to flip flop and say he did a hell of a job(when just weeks ago he made the "looking for a light switch in the dark" comparison to Obama's leadership skills).

Good point. There are a lot of conservatives that are going to remember what Christie did there.

However it seems like a lot of New Yorkers and New Jersey residents are pissed at how their leaders have handled this crisis. Personally I think the President has very little to do with things like natural disasters and response to them, as that is very much a state function. But when I read about how Democrats are getting slammed on this I had to wonder how much of this will blow back on Obama as well.

Gave credit where due, even though it was politically inconvenient?

Yes. I think conservatives will admire that.
