Slavery, segregation, and overt racism in your country, and you can't even take an admittedly bad line that's about showing some pride?

It's a double standard, sure... but who does it hurt? It's easier to just let this shit slide, because no one will give a shit about color soon enough unless they're raised into it. Time will eventually smooth out all of this shit, but sadly we're still not there.

Funny though, had Romney won and had Bill O'Reilly said "tears of joy, the white house is white again", it wouldn't be "let this shit slide", he would have been heavily criticized and demonized for it, and rightfully so.

Arrogance is arrogance, no matter who says it. Fuck that I wouldn't let it slide, and it's not okay that someone on national TV is yelling out "tears of joy, the white house is staying black". By not saying anything, or everyone looking the other way, it makes this idiot think there's nothing wrong with what he said. If someone is being an idiot, especially on national tv, you don't look the other way.

Can't say I've really watched any MSNBC to know who that was, but I'm hoping he's a comedian lol. Cause yeah, I agree that particular statement isn't exactly cool. Even though he appears to have been saying it in a joking manner, it's still in bad taste.

Honestly can't say I'm surprised though. MSNBC is only a hair less biased than FOX, from what I've seen. It's one of those stations I prefer to ignore. If I want democrat-oriented news, there are stations with a bit more objectivity out there.

He might be, not really sure. In any case, its surprising someone actually saw it in the first place, being that show is pretty shit (IMO).
