Then thing is that even after the follow-up... I'm still not sure she gets it. She never explained why she had this misunderstanding. Does she think that deer can read signs? Or that the signs were somehow magically directing the deer to a specific crossing point? She understands now that "the signs are for humans" but what the heck did she believe before then, other than that the signs were for the deer? Like, how do you even think that to begin with?
