Re: Gen Petreaus is going to testify
First lets start with your first statement. The right goes crazy for this stuff. So the right does it but the left doesn't? Would that be because you lean that way? Dont answer we all know the answers are yes the left does and yes your blind to it because you have leaned so far you hit the floor.
Second statement. Really an excuse for what Bill did? LOL come on man. If he didn't lie about it over and over and over nothing would have probably happened. He dug is own grave on that shit.
Third statement. Who knows what? Really? The topic wasn't past the first page and you couldn't keep up? I doubt that. Whats more likely is you know what was being discussed and decided you needed to save the massiah. If he lied over this shit which he most likely did then yeah he needs to be impeached.
Forth statement you question commander for consistency with Bush while giving excuses for Clinton and Obama. You exposed your own double standard.

Re: Gen Petreaus is going to testify
Really? I said the left doesn't? Quote that for me, please. This is another case of you reading why you want to read instead of what is there.
It was all over an affair with a woman. It was a witch-hunt to begin with and an abuse of power by Republicans. Good thing he was acquitted.
Now I'm here to save the English language! It's "messiah." But I'm not here to save anyone, there is no evidence of anything. Not a shred anywhere. You sure as hell can't give me any. All you have is "anonymous sources" coming from a propaganda network and the CIA refutes them. It's he-said-she-said, and until you have something real and concrete, this talk is beyond silly. It's what sore losers do after they get defeated.
I never gave excuses for either of them. I said Clinton's was stupid and the Obama one is even more idiotic since there is zero evidence of anything. What I want Commander to answer, not you, is if he thinks Bush should have been impeached. I want to know if he is really concerned about the truth or if he is just doesn't like Obama. I'm guessing the latter.

Gen Petreaus is going to testify
On what grounds would President Bush have been impeached? President Clinton was impeached not for a blow job, but because while serving as President of the United States, he lied to the American people as well as under oath in sworn testimony. If President Bush had either lied under oath in sworn testimony or lied directly to the American people about material facts like President Clinton did, then yes, you can bet your biscuits I would have demanded he be impeached.
This brings me to a valid question for you. What is your standard for integrity and accountability of the President? Clearly you seem to be complaining that a President should not be impeached for lying to a court of law under oath, and or lying directly to the American people about an issue where it is proven beyond a doubt that he absolutely materially knows for a fact that he is lying.
That kind of behavior crosses my line for integrity and accountability for a President. As a matter of fact I think a President should go to jail for that. What is your line if that is not it?
Remember also that of course broken campaign promises for example do not cross that line for me, though I do believe that a President should be voted out of office for doing that.
So what is your measure for accountability? If President Obama's is proven beyond a reasonable doubt to have been lying and/or specifically instructed others to lie about the attack in Benghazi and say it was not a terrorist attack or coordinated attack, are you saying that you would still not support impeachment?BruceBloodMaster liked this post
