Re: A victory for union workers everywhere.
They'll find work but not at the wage they would have earned had they taken the 8% deduction. I really don't mind unions, but they have to be smart enough to understand the business. We can't look at the companies financials but I know they were already in big trouble. Times have changed, people tend to look at their products as bad fatty foods. This combined with the poot state of the economy should have let them know that an 8% pay cut was reasonable. You have a deteriorating product combined with a bad economy and the union doesn't want to take a reasonable pay cut?
As I said, I don't mind unions, I like the idea of workers having some power to fight for a better wage. However a lot of unions that I have seen seem to take advantage and become unreasonable in their demands.

If they didn't want their job then just quit, or find another one. Don't screw over your co-workers that do want/need their jobs. Oh wait, if they quit they can't get unemployment...

Re: A victory for union workers everywhere.
So management and the people running the show did a universally terrible job for years it seems and they were in their second bankruptcy. Oh, and one union accepted the concessions, but it's still all the unions fault and management doesn't deserve any blame. Makes sense. Hell, the union probably made them make terrible business decisions, too.
