Re: Tax increase on the middle class?
I feel the same way. Although, there are certain philosophies that i strongly disagree with. And it seems that our media proclaims that i am to be hated and ridiculed for disagreeing with those philosophies. Just ask Piers Morgan. Easy to see how folks can learn to distrust certain institutions.

Re: Tax increase on the middle class?
You know what? The only time I ever see liberals calling for unity is when they are the ones in control. Give me a break. The divisiveness you are seeing comes from the stupid, purposeful way that our leaders on the liberal progressive side are running and destroying this country. Notice I didn't just say Democrats. True conservative principles are all but dead in Washington - let me tell you, constitutional conservatism and fiscal responsibility are the only way this country recovers. There happen to be WAY more Republicans than Democrats in that boat right now, so I will support Republican efforts - for now.
Some of you had mentioned that "this was inevitable" no matter who was President. I agree to an extent but I think maybe we have different ideas of what were inevitable. My meaning with my previous comments was that we had a chance to see maybe a depression with high unemployment while we stop the crazy spending and monetization of debt and begin a recovery rather than moving headlong into a complete collapse of the dollar, default on U.S. Treasuries, the dollar losing its status as the world's reserve currency and food / gas lines, the federal gun grab and all the rest that are coming with Obama at the helm.
If you disagree with me and my "Lazanomics", or whatever other bullshit you want to come at me with, fine then, disagree.
Seriously though, just please PREPARE. Set aside part of your budget to buy storable food, ammunition, guns. Learn to fight, shoot, hunt, fish and grow food if you don't already know. Come up with a plan for if you and your family have to leave the urban areas you live in quickly, not to return for years maybe if that's how long it takes before things go back to normal. Read up on how you would do all this and be successful. Surely you can see what's possibly going to happen just as I can. What could the harm be in taking steps to prepare for it? Call it insurance if you want, but just do it, would ya? How much do you spend each year on homeowner's insurance, car insurance, life insurance and all the rest? Can you match even part of it preparing?
Why do you think I'm telling you guys this? I've met some of you but I don't even really know any of you very well. It's because after researching the hell out of it I believe it. I'm not trolling. I'm not trying to start an argument. And I don't have a tin foil hat. I don't want a new American revolution. I don't want to have to leave my family home and lose my creature comforts. But I think we all need to face the fact that these things are more likely now than they have ever been in our country's history. If you want to ignore it ok, but in this case, don't say someone didn't warn you.
Or you can reply and say "haha, Laz is crazy", or make some stupid comment about my wishful thinking at election time. All as we march ever closer to a rapid decline. As for me, I'll be ready.
