Re: Creation vs. Evolution - A new look at an old argument
No, I meant that his discussion on the natural bias that we each bring to any discussion or analysis of data was very interesting to me. As a matter of fact, there has been a whole lot of it going on right here in this thread and the response to the video. If you didn't watch all 4 parts I have to tell you I think you missed out. I watch all kinds of (what you would call any type of christian teaching) stupid bullshit that is unproven that claims to be science as well as stuff like this, and it all intrigues me. I am a Christian, but I also am well versed on science and scientific research on a variety of subjects. I have a high IQ (no need to go into detail here) and yet I am still Christian.
Bias is the problem with 90% of human communication. That and this dumb assed belief in moral relativism that has taken hold nowadays; that there is no "truth", only shades of grey.
Anyway the lecture fascinated me because of the truth that is revealed in it, and the fact that a Christian was willing to talk about that frankly.

Re: Creation vs. Evolution - A new look at an old argument
ive been past this for a few years now, im now thinking that neurological processes and quantum uncertainty affect human perception all together.
really im serious, I starting to believe that everything, is only what we our brains can process and there is billion of bytes of data we can not simply understand and do not process. that the world around us is affected only by our observer or lack thereof.
so in that light created or evolution really does not matter. the science of quantum reality is extremely compelling and makes a lot of sense once we start to understand the true nature of the very finite fundamentals of our universe.

Hi guys.
Biblical creation is actually a testable scientific hypothesis. For example, it postulates that birds are older than land animals, so all that we have to do is look at the fossil record and see if there are any examples of terrestrial animals existing before birds existed. Oh we have tons and tons of examples of this? Ok, biblical creationism disproven.

Um... yeah... Can I have my 14 minutes back? I didn't get much out of that. He talks a good talk but still not hard evidence. I believe there could be a god, but I also believe science has lots of evidence of evolution. I will go on with my world view, thanks.
