Re: Two Bombs Explode at Boston Marathon finish line!!
Back to Glenn Beck for a second. I thought this commentary was excellent. Maybe you guys need to stop writing off Glenn Beck so hard...
This video is good stuff:
Glenn: We are in a country that no longer recognizes the truth – Glenn Beck
Below is a quote from the link:
“I’m wondering when America is going to turn it off. When America is going to not feel relief when you watch this stuff on television and so you say ‘I’m not going to watch it anymore,’ and I highly recommend it,” Glenn said. “I do not recommend that you unplug. You have to know what’s going on. You have to be involved. But I highly recommend you stop listening to the merchants of disinformation, out‑and‑out lies.”
“I’m sorry,” he continued. “I wish we could be farther along on TheBlaze. I wish there were others that would join us. I wish there were those who had a sense of time, that had a sense of history, that had a sense of what’s worth fighting for, what’s worth standing for, what’s worth dying for.”
Similarly, we now have a government no longer seems to respect its job of being of the people, by the people. “So America, you are going to two places. You’ve got two choices,” Glenn said. “You’ve got the people who are in bed with big brother and are telling you things that you know are not true.”
“No, you see, see, America, it’s really not that hard to figure out what’s conspiracy and what’s not. You look at the patterns of people,” Glenn explained. “Is this pattern of this government to take responsibility, to tell you the truth on what’s really going on, or is the pattern of this government to tell you, ‘You’ve got to sign it before you figure out what’s in it.’ Is the pattern of this government to throw people under the bus that do not agree with them, while they hide the things that they’ve really done?”
There are certainly no easy answers to the problems that face America today. There has been a breach of trust on the part of both the government and the media that will be hard to reverse. But ultimately it will be up to the American people to put their differences aside and decide just how important the truth is. In turn, they will also have to be diligent in parsing out the disinformation that exists.
“You’re going to have to decide,” Glenn concluded. “I’ve made my decision, and I would suggest that we stop arguing with each other and we find people that maybe we disagree with, but we can still see the light of day. We can still see the light of truth. We can still see who we are and what the truth is of what happens to our country if we fly apart and we don’t trust anything. We’ve got to trust something. And that something has to be based in fact and has to be based in common sense.”

Re: Two Bombs Explode at Boston Marathon finish line!!
Where and when?
It is possible. As are a lot of things. I'd rather wait and see what shakes out first before I get worked into fever pitch though.
I seem to recall reading, in the article you linked no less, that there's confusion over whether there are/were two Saudi nationals or not. This could explain a lot of the diffs in the accounts. I'd rather wait and see what shakes out first before I get worked into fever pitch though.
Beck has details at this juncture. Some, all or none of which might be "facts." It suffices to say that his presentation of those details lends itself, as I pointed out, to wild conjecture and conspiracies. I'd rather wait and see what shakes out first before I get worked into fever pitch though.
I'll say it once more; I have little affection for, or faith in, the current administration and it's apparatus and various hangers on. But I'm not buying into the conspiracy/cover up hoopla simply because of charisma, flashy graphics and crawlers. There will have to be more verifiable sources of this information than Glenn Beck as he's long since used up all of his credibility credits.
To your point on Napolitano commenting on the removal of a Saudi student from the watchlist:
Janet Napolitano says Saudi
“With regard to the Saudi student, was he on a watchlist, and if so, how did he obtain a student visa?” Grassley asked.
Napolitano firmly responded: “He was not on a watchlist. What happened is — this student was, really when you back it out, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was never a subject. He was never even really a person of interest. Because he was being interviewed, he was at that point put on a watchlist, and then when it was quickly determined he had nothing to do with the bombing, the watch listing status was removed.”
Occam's Razor comes into play in this regard. The hypothesis with the fewest assumptions is most often the correct hypothesis.

Suspect #1 may have been influenced by a radical Muslim. Status/location/details about this person are thin/unknown at this time.

And a bit more about the "feverish" rantings all over the web about Al Harbi.... The Saudi student (allegedly?) connected (allegedly) to Al Qaeda.....
I'm not going to post links to the several dozen sites that all pop up when a search of the name "Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi" is run.
I will, however, post one as I think it illustrates the problem with much of the Al-Harbi line of conspiracy thinking.
Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi, bombing ‘person of interest’ has 6 Saudi ‘terrorists’ in family,5 more are in Gitmo - The Global Dispatch
More notable is the assertions that Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi is free an clear of terrorist ties, when in fact over 10 names from his clan are already linked to Al-Qaeda.
Many from Al-Harbi’s clan are entrenched in terrorism and are members of Al-Qaeda as identified by the Islamic governements.
Out of a list of 85 terrorists listed by the Saudi government shows several of Al-Harbi clan to have been active fighters in Al-Qaeda:
#15 Badr Saud Uwaid Al-Awufi Al-Harbi
#73 Muhammad Atiq Uwaid Al-Awufi Al-Harbi
#26 Khalid Salim Uwaid Al-Lahibi Al-Harbi
#29 Raed Abdullah Salem Al-Thahiri Al-Harbi
#43 Abdullah Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Harbi (leader)
#60 Fayez Ghuneim Humeid Al-Hijri Al-Harbi
...
Then you have Al-Harbi clan members in Gitmo:
Salim Salman Awadallah Al-Sai’di Al-Harbi
Majid Abdullah Hussein Al-Harbi
Muhammad Abdullah Saqr Al-Alawi Al-Harbi
Ghanem Abdul Rahman Ghanem Al-Harbi
Muhammad Atiq Uwaid Al-Awfi Al-Harbi
What's the problem with this you ask? This name, Al-Harbi, is almost as popular, by comparison, to the equivalent US names of Smith, Jones, Johnson, etc.
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_th...n_Saudi_Arabia
Al Harbi, Al Otaibi, Al Kahtani, Al Zahrani, Al Ghamdi, Al Dossari and more..
These last names are not in a rank but Al Harbia may be the most popular. They are spread from the center of Saudi Arabia till the southern.
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Common_las...n_Saudi_Arabia
Al qahtani
Al Shammari
Al Onazy
Al Dosary
Al Subaiee
Al Yami
Al harbi
Al Ghamdi
Al Zahrani
Al Reshedi
Al Blawi
Al Juhani
Al ahmari
and more..etc
By that logic all those people named Smith are related, and guilty by association, to convicted criminals named Smith.....amiright?
