What gun law would YOU propose to end the current debates?
One that would enforce the current laws. Have you seen the numbers of people breaking the current gun laws and nothing is done?

This is in response to your two last posts Scott. Australia was similar to the US in it's beginnings and offers ideas on how to handle gun control. As far as liberty goes, I don't see the correlation between gun ownership and freedom. Many free, democratic countries have strict gun controls in place at no apparent harm to the populace.

Like I mentioned previously, America needs to improve itself as a society first. Gun crime among others, imo, is just a symptom of that.

Thanks Trigger. When i read an article like that, although i understand the noble reason behind it, i view at as an affront to personal liberty. I look at it as a stepping stone. This time the guns disappear, next time free speech disappears, after that.... you disappear. If there weren't actual cases in history where that happened, it probably wouldn't bother me. And by no means am i suggesting that these things would happen in rapid succession, but like i said, im sure you can find examples in history where that pattern exists.

1) all the criminals have guns anyway, regardless of laws barring them.
2) gun ownership is a minority now, with this law it won't be and will reflect the true intentions of our fore fathers
3) guns make you feel safe, well a Mac 10 does, not your puny 38 special.
4) mandatory gun safety starting at a young age, classes every year of school.
5) a tax on people who DON'T own a gun, every year during IRS season. (cause we'll have to protect your ass)
6) everyone knows that everyone has a gun, so no one fucks with anyone.
7) this is my rifle, this is my gun. This ones for killing, this ones for fun.

As far as hygiene, it's a myth. Europeans are just as conscientious as Americans. But I know DG wasn't being serious, he was being Deathtroll.

Actually i was being serious to a degree. You dont need to go there to find out when you live in the tourist capital of the world.
