I was brought up to say please and thank you, sir and ma'am and the like. Have a habit of holding doors open for people, i will run to open a door for an older person or a woman, its just who i am. It amazes me the number of people who walk on by without even a glance. But, that doesnt deter me, if i never get another thank you or even a subtle nod, i will keep doing it. I do notice more and more younger folks acting with courtesy, and acting appreciative when its shown to them. I can only hope its a returning trend.

We can only hope more Prime time TV shows, um err, Twitter feeds perpetuate this.
