Thread: Smoking Marijuana May Decrease Diabetes Ris

Apparently cannabis cures ADHD, diabetes, the common cold, male pattern baldness, AIDS, world hunger, and global warming.

And frankly I don't care. But I would really like to see the government quit wasting money prosecuting users, sellers, and growers. People like weed and as far as I can tell, it's no more dangerous than alcohol or tobacco. I am not a smoker and if it was legal, I still would not be a smoker. But it pisses me off that the government says that I can't smoke it and that we waste money on law enforcement, criminal justice, and incarceration for this.

At any rate, I hate weed. All it did was make me paranoid...who wants to feel like that?

but when they legalize it, it won´t make you paranoid anymore..because it will be socially accepted and tolerated

I tend to agree with you. I sincerely doubt use would go up significantly if it were legalized. But the pot of today ain't your dad's pot either. If it were legalized I do believe the quality and potency of weed and delivery mechanisms for the THC would go waaaaay up. I have to wonder what effect that would have, surely there would be some unintended consequences.

What, like a Cheetos shortage?
Even with vastly improved THC and more efficient delivery, it's still the same chemical. I just can't see this drug as dangerous. Perhaps a compromise could be that growing it is legal for personal use only. The legal sale of the seeds should be fairly easy to regulate.

5-10 years ago this was a great example, now not so much.
Plus Amsterdam has a red light district, most of the places Cannabis is Legal in the US they don't have the Red light districts.
Also Amsterdam is a European city, Huge differences in people, and culture.
