I categorize possessions in the same vein as I do psychics. They may BELIEVE they are possessed and other people may believe them... but 99.9999% are no more possessed than I am right now ( oO ). Any time a person is directly involved where their mind can play tricks on them, you have to side heavily with the notion that it's just that... their mind playing tricks on them.

Give me something with multiple witnesses and physical proof of something that CANNOT stem from hallucination, acting, fraud, etc. Unfortunately, it's far too easy to eliminate most all things when it comes to the paranormal based on that kind of criteria. But there's always the tiniest of a fraction of events that you just have to scratch your head and go "hrm... I can't explain that away."

For instance. With the Bell Witch (which I was so thoroughly terrified of as a I child I too slept with my light on after reading that story for the first... and probably tenth time...) MOST of the information on that case comes from a book written 70 years or so after the fact when everyone directly involved and indirectly involved were already dead. And some of that information, though coming from the diary of one of the sons, was only written down by that son some 30 years after the fact. In other words... Most of the information is specious at best. Legend becomes reality only if you let it. So while some paranormal researchers say the Bell Witch case is one of the best cases ever for the proof of malicious poltergeist activities... Most serious investigators will tell you that it was based on a historical fiction writer's attempts at making a profit... and the 30 year old recollections of a, then, 6 to 10 year old child. And through the next nearly 200 years, gained a life of it's own far greater than the sum of it's original parts. Most of the major happenings have been disproven (Andrew Jackson having visited the house for instance) and so, everything else also has to be looked at as being possibly false as well.

The Entity case is one of the most well documented paranormal cases ever... but even that has some flaws and holes that have to make you question the veracity of the claims.

In other words... shut your light off tonight. Even if it IS a ghost in that photo... You can assume that it's been there for quite some time. And it hasn't raped you in your sleep yet. Or... has it?

I think my note was pretty clear, though autotype changed the word "basis" to the word "bases" for some strange reason. I didn't say "only" from a biblical standpoint. In this case, if the ghost in the picture is real, there's no theory to it. I suppose you could theorize as to how it exists - in which case I personally think the Bible would not be a bad place to start.

That's spooky, know whats even more spooky.
