The point wasn't to deflect blame from anyone. I'm not even aware of anything in the budget that anyone needs to be blamed for. I found the video interesting because of how screwed up the process is.

Well we certainly agree on that. But giving the congress carte blanche would also be a terrible idea, given their track record.

Did it ever occur to you that the reason democrats vote down Obama's budget regularly is because it gives him plausible deniability on the crazy spending? They could vote his budget down and then approve a budget that looks exactly the same and accomplish this. That's why I said comparison is needed.

Then how come all your posts are about how Obama is fucking shit up. You never post about Congress.

Because Trigger, Obama sets the agenda. He's the leader of the fucking free world. He has veto power and signs every bill into law. That's why.

If the President *really* wants something to happen in congress, he will almost always have the influence and clout to make it happen. This has always been true. Especially if both the house and senate are controlled by his own party for two whole years.

Reagan did it. Bush I did it. Clinton did it. Bush II did it. The fact that Obama could not then and cannot now make the right decisions and bring people together to help the country shows what a monumentally shitty president he is.

This is the same wisdom that predicted, nay guaranteed a landslide.
