Yeah, I see this on the VAGunForums all the time and I work very hard to turn them into skeptics about this kind of crap. The DHS conspiracy about buying tanks, buying armored cars, buying all the ammunition up... It is all really a bunch of BS. Particularly those three items which (believe me) I have done the ground work on debunking.

Look up the information for yourself. Take 2 minutes to browse Snopes or other sources that actually reference government documentation that outlines the requirements or proposals for these sorts of things. Then apply a little critical thinking. If the DHS is ordering ammunition for 10 years and there are 10,000 field agents (I am making up numbers since I don't have them in front of me, but you get the idea) you can do the math to how much ammo is used by each agent each year. Once you have done the math, looked at the source material then form your opinion. Don't let CNN, Fox News or crazy fear based youtube videos do that work for you.

Oh and just to let you know my local gun range here in VA has all the .40 and .223 I could ever want. 9mm and .22 are still limited to a couple boxes per person. The gun legislation was thankfully put aside, the people who got scared are done hording and the companies that are making ammunition are very close to meeting the demand. Very soon we are going to be in a surplus because of low demand for the volume of ammunition coming through.

The problem Brock is where I and many other live there really is an issue finding ammo. I couldn't even get 9mm around here. I wouldn't count on that surplus you speak of.

Yea I have difficulty finding ammo as well. I know you can order some online, but in light of recent events, I worry that I might be placed on some sort of NSA monitoring list.

lol I meant a list in which your are manually monitored. As in literally listening live to your phone calls and following you around. . . wow, it's pretty sad that there is already a sense of acceptance that all of our communication is being monitored without any type of warrant or due process. Just make sure not to use any of these words or you might get flagged. . .
