My comment was one poster replying to another, nothing more. As for voting, I think the votes are already in. Feel free to post as few, or as many, words as you want, or none if you so choose, just don't be shocked if when you post comments suited for reddit or 4chan that you are thus called out for trolling instead of adding content to the topic. Your choice.

Well, I've never seen readit or 4 channels, so that point is lost. I don't feel the need to type out 6 bazillion lines of crap most people are not going to read anyway, or maybe not Most but the people I'm trying to discuss my point with. I'd rather ask simple question to lead your thoughts to the point I'm trying to make. Having you reach the Point I'm making Is much more powerful, than me telling it to you over and over again. Your snap judgements about my "one liners" are just that. So if I seem a little insulted by those I bet you can feel me Bro.

I think your own comments earlier that you could give two shits about stopping at these checkpoints (which already treat every person they stop as a criminal by stopping them in the first place) and allowing them to question you or search your vehicle, and that resisting them peacefully isn't worth the hassle, and calling someone who has the balls to stand up for his Constitutional rights names... is, ironically, proof positive that we as a society are becoming or have become socialized to accept this type of behavior as normal.
You know, sort of the "What the fuck is this punk's problem, if he has nothing to hide then he has nothing to worry about" mentality.
What ranting are you talking about? Please, stop exaggerating my comments to be something they aren't.

My bazillions of lines are for naught.
I am the sad.
With your method, maybe you should change your nick here to SmokenSocrates.
Or maybe wait for a bit until you get better at the method.
Also, if you don't know 4chan then you've missed out on an interesting net/social phenomenon. I'm not endorsing it, but its existence is a symptom of us. Reddit is a better site, but a much less interesting phenomenon.
Still too many lines, and no questions at all. But my sign-off is a single character, so suck it. :)

Please allow me to apologize for not being intelligent enough to understand that your, "let the lashings begin, right bra?" question was actually designed for me to question my own thoughts and ideals, and come to the conclusion that they were right or wrong, then explain to you why. Maybe next time, for the benefit of slower people like me, you could help us, or maybe just me, out by saying, "I think that _________________" Then I can say I agree because, or I disagree because... Then we get to have a conversation, you know, the reason a forum exists to begin with.

Don't be, because they aren't. Although I may disagree with some of your views, I read all of your posts. You have a way with words, a gift (and I suspect a gift that has been worked on and honed through the years). As a brilliant lawman once said, "You use your tounge purdier than a $20 whore."
As for the OP......We don't have checkpoints up here in God's Country any more. They were deemed unconstitutional by our State Supreme Court. We had them for a couple of years, but no more. At the time, I was working for a band on the weekends, and would hit a DWI checkpoint about every other weekend. If I wasn't selected, I would drive through it again and again, just to waste their time. When they asked if I had any drugs in the car, "I don't know" was good for another 10 minutes of their time searching. I figured they were on my tax dime, and I wanted my monies worth.Last edited by dex71; 07-10-13 at 03:28 PM.

Re: Welcome to our Post-Constitutional America.
Don't put words in my mouth I said I don't mind complying/ rolling down my window or something along those lines I never said I'm comfortable with them searching my vehicle, bring dogs, and detaining me was cool. If I rolled down my window answered a few questions I'd be on my way. By him only half complying with the cops request made matters worse for him. I don't question his rights I question why he chose to exercise in the middle of a DUI checkpoint an came to the conclusion he was being a punk, much like the cop decided to be a punk in return. But then you turn around take my words and fantasize the society is socialized and accepts this behavior because I disagreed? How stupid does that sound? You're not open to any two way debate like civil, or ae, you're just here to push your agenda on all of us. This was never intended to be a debate for you, only a hate party. That's why I didn't like your post and thought it was ignorant.
