It must be a significant percentage because, according to you, the US has lax gun laws because it borders Mexico.

Well if i had to guess why the US has lax gun laws at its border with mexico it would be because it makes it easier for our government to sell the guns to them. As for how much of a factor i would say less then gang related but more then accidental shootings. As i said its a factor not the entire package.

Nice topic avoidance. Not once did i say it was the main factor. In fact i merely pointed out that you trying to compare immigration issues over there to here is at best a fallacy of logic.

This topic is about people having the right to carry in public. In most/all states in order to do that you are required to be licensed by the state to do so. So you are saying that the reason for the majority of gun violence is because of these people that take the time to go through a state licensing process?

I have been looking for several days for some actual numbers on various gun related issues. This is the best I could find. Too much out there is slanted to one sided of the debate or the other. This article appears to me to be fairly well balanced. Some interesting numbers in there:
