Misguided teens
In addition to the Oklahoma shooting done by 3 teens
WW2 Vet brutally beaten by teensArrest made in deadly beating of WWII vet who was attacked in Washington parking lot - NY Daily News
Infant Shot by 2 teens
Baby shot dead in stroller; 2 Georgia teens charged - CNN.com
So here we go again. More teenagers committing horrible crimes. I pulled both these article links off of a comment on the Oklahoma article linked here. Civil-rights leaders urged to condemn Oklahoma 'boredom' shooting - latimes.com

We've got some shitbags up here too.
Family of robbery, assault victim calls for justice | kare11.com
Kid was out for a walk. Fight at a house party spills into street as he was walking by. He is attacked, beaten to within an inch of his life (so bad that doctors had to induce a coma), stripped, and robbed. So far, the cops have one 19y/o (who needs to be put down, imo) in custody, but there have been reports that there was an 11y/o seen booting this poor kid in the melon. It was 11:30 at night. WTF is an 11yo doing out so late?
Complete lack of parenting, and a culture of violence and failure. There is NOTHING that society can do when parents don't do their job.....unless we start going after the parents. If I were King, both of this little shit's parents would be doing HARD time. Maybe Dad would stick around and take an interest if his freedom depended on it.Last edited by dex71; 08-23-13 at 05:01 PM.

Re: Misguided teens
I look at my children... and even though i am not a "believer" its hard for me not to think im blessed... or that my family is blessed. My kids have had shit tons of challenges, they are far from spoiled, have had to do without, seen several of their close friends die unexpectedly from accidents and suicides (9 over an 18 month period) and they would NEVER even think of doing anything remotely like this. So is it the schools? Is it being poor and not having the latest and greatest gadgets? Is it neglect on the part of the parents? What the fuck?

Of these, only the 1 kid from the OK incident. As much as some people like to say otherwise, it isn't just a minority problem. I know for a fact this isn't always the case(I know some absolutely amazing single moms), but in most families I know, Dad is the "enforcer". If there's nobody around to enforce the rules, then there are none...that's the long and short of it IMO.
