AP sources: A revised GOP attack on 'Obamacare'
Anyone else getting tired of this merry-go-round?

I do believe that we need some sort of healthcare reform, but not on the backs of only those who contribute.
Like I've said in the past, if America wants to prosper once again then we need to do what's worked for us in the past. Infrastructure. We increase the development, increase the cleanliness, people become happier, money flows easier, and people become healthier. We're not fronting people welfare checks for them to sit in front of the TV and lead unhealthy lives. We need to bring the labor industry back to it's roots.
Oh and tell these damn kids to put the fucking Iphonetically challenged devices away and do something productive, have a conversation in real life, no one cares about your breakfast..Last edited by Warprosper; 09-18-13 at 12:47 PM.

If by merry-go-round you mean our current political system in general then absolutely yes. If you mean the tax that isn't a tax because it is a fine, but not really a fine then not really.

The former - this is IMHO a great example of pissing into the wind. We all get it - the GOP hates the ACA - but fuck, look at it practically for a fraction of a second, this is not productive there is zero chance Obama and the DEM's will cave. This is why Congress has such a great approval rating.
The author stating the obvious:
Conservatives are frustrated that Republicans control only one chamber of Congress and have little chance to enact their agenda over the opposition of Obama and Senate Democrats.QuotePost Rep: 1

Re: Here we go again - GOP takes aim at ACA, ties to debt ceiling
So who here thinks Obamacare is the way we should be going about reforming healthcare? Seems like most of us tend to agree on this one. I think reform has been needed but Obamacare is a disaster that won't achieve the desired goal. What say you guys? And why make hay over the GOP at least trying to make a statement as to their own disposition on it as it stands now? I still think they should all be thrown out for voting for it in the first place but oh well.
OR was this their plan all along? To vote it in knowing it would fuck us over and then step in as saviors to try and fix the problem they helped create? I think there's a little of that going on myself.

I agree with the merry-go-round, but what were you thinking would be likely to change?
The President ran on a platform that included health-care reform very much like the ACA. He won. The election obviously wasn't simply a referendum on health care, but it's hard to argue that any of the voters were duped.
The Congress passed the ACA. There was plenty of opportunity for debate. Everyone had lots of time to make their case. Shit, the debate has been going on since at least '92.
The Supreme Court affirmed it as law.
Some Republicans feel there is a political advantage to continuing this fight. I don't see that changing any time soon.
Cheers,
