No, I don't qualify for any subsidies. This plan would cost me about 3% of my income, which I think is fine for peace of mind sake. As for my current work insurance, it isn't awful. I used to have AvMed, and it was great, but now I am with Cigna as of 2013 and all costs have increased by going to this plan, but I was given this choice or with an HSA. For many young people it makes sense to do HSA but as I mentioned, I actually use my health insurance, and having the peace of mind means more to me than saving a grand or two. Again, I may be better off than some and my situation may differ from other citizens.

Perhaps tangential, but certainly a close tangent upon the topic:

Re: The ridiculous cost of Obamacare
Interesting article. One thing you should know in case some of you were thinking the problems were related to Web traffic (which apparently a lot of people believe)... They were not. I have specific knowledge and can't go into more detail regarding this, but the bottom line is that any problems were strictly related to the application. The platform was not the issue.

I am holding my comments on participation until mid Nov when the first round of numbers come out. That will tell a more accurate story than anyone is slinging today in the media.
