Seriously though - this is a bullshit issue. Kinda like the 'new' camo - that turned into a camo uniform war between the various branches. The old hat looked fine and won't cost us shit to keep. If the new ones are cheaper then and the old need to be replaced - by all means get the new little hats and save us all a minuscule fraction of a cent.

Where some people make a mistake is thinking these covers cost the government money. They pay the upfront cost and the service members buy them. They are not free of cost. A set of blues use to cost each person 900 bucks from the money they were earning while in boot camp.

Dan was a bad man. He's part of a VERY select few that won 2 medals of honor. He's also where starship troopers got the line "Come on you sons a bitches, you want to live forever'.

I should probaly also mention Dan was part of the battle that earned Marines the name tuefel hunden or devil dog for those of us that dont speak german.
