Re: Not An other Gun Control Thread!
For the most part, yes. So that does corroborate your assumptions in one of your previous posts. Racism, bigtory and hate are learned conditioned behaviors that can be passed down from one generation to another. But so is the sense of entitlement, victimization and perceived prejudice.
The point is we ALL have to work toward getting rid of racism, bigotry and hatred for people who look, think, behave differently than we do. It means that white people have to let the hatreds die with their family members and break the cycle. But it also means the narrative of victimization that insidiously pervades the black community has to stop also. It's only when all of us pull in the same direction, that true change will happen.
I find programs like the NAACP to be exceptionally racist, whose use is long over. But as long as issues like Trayvon Martin needless fuel those fires, who give the Sharptons and Jackons of the world a platform with which to spread that narrative, then we do ourselves and our children a disservice by not breaking that cycle when we see it happen. Likewise, I would like nothing more than for a comet the size of a bowling ball to land on top of Westboro 'Baptist' Church on a Sunday morning.
In my opinion, the white people in general have turned their back on the KKK's, WBC's and Skinheads of the world. We reject their notion of a superior white-only race. They are idiots beyond measure. But golly gee it would be nice if the black community would also turn its back on those leaders who use "equality" as an excuse to vilify, demonize and take from those who don't deserve it.
I know that no matter how hard we try, there will always be a fringe element of our country that will find new and inventive ways to hate the same old people. But I hope we can have a world where those people are the only real minorities.

Oh, but the Sharptons and Jacksons of the world don't just capitalize on REAL issues. They also invent them too. Remember Tawana Brawley? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tawana_...pe_allegations
How about the Duke Lacrosse team rape case? Etc. etc.
These people are horrible human beings.
