An interesting case on Race and voting.
I really dont know what to think about this. On one hand, its freakin brilliant. This guy studied the demographic and exploited it. On the other hand..... he lives up to the notion that politicians are sneaky underhanded scum.
White candidate pretends to be black to win election
So is this a prime example of exploiting the "low information voter"?
And if it is, by doing so doesn't this guy become part of the problem?

Re: An interesting case on Race and voting.
Well, one could say that since his opponent was black, and it was a predominately black demographic, race was taken out of the picture and the guy won on his platform. Its the opposition thats making a stink about him not being black... i wonder if the same sentiment is felt amongst the voters?

Re: An interesting case on Race and voting.
Pointless question in regards to the OP. Obama never hid his race, if anything he embraced and advertised the Black side of his heritage.
The question is: Had Mr. Wilson been forthcoming about his race, would he have still won or would he have lost because the demographic would "not vote for that cracker"?
