How is it proving that? It hasn't even been implemented yet.

And don't mention the website issues, that has no bearing on how effective the ACA will be.

If you cant see it, it would be futile for me to eve attempt to explain it to you.

No, im not going to mention the website as an indication of the ACA being a failure. I will however point out that the website issues are nothing short of a glaring indication of the incompetence of this administration. But i wouldn't expect you to see it that way, im sure you have a long list of excuses as to why millions of dollars were wasted on this broken system.

That's the nature of a debate. So... do it or don't flap your gums.

"I won't mention the website... but here... let me mention the website." Wait. What?

The broken website is evidence of incompetence on the part of the design firm that made it. Try again.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

Trigger is very tough to "debate" with. Here i am expressing an open mind about Vermont trying out single payer, and he has to pick a fight. His question has also been addressed over and over again in other threads, why should i even try to show him where the failure is if he shows a pattern of ignoring it?

Really, you cant see the difference there? The administration had plenty of time to vet a competent firm and plenty of money to monitor its progress over time. In the real world, when management subs out a project and that project fails so miserably.... someone gets fired. Might want to take the blinders off.

I'm seeing more and more of this kind of weak-assed response in here. I also don't see how ACA is proof against a "one-size fits all" solution. Single-payer has worked for years in several countries of varying size, but yeah, this several-weeks-old program that isn't a "one size fits all" solution is proof that none of those would work.

I actually agree with you here. The website was the effect of cronyism and incompetence.

What i mean by the "one size fits all thing" is in regards to the stories coming out about people that have had policies tailored to their needs canceled, then being forced into more comprehensive coverage at many times the original cost through the ACA. I understand there are a lot of junk policies out there that people really NEED to upgrade. I heard a couple of stories about that too on NPR, but that was because the owner of the policy made a poor choice in selecting their insurance. But either way, the ACA had not demonstrated that it provides affordable health care. Comprehensive, yes, but affordable no.

Do you think that as more people are corralled into the system prices will inevitably come down?

You cant vet a competent firm when you did exactly what you said you were going to put and end to by putting out a no bid contract.
