Re: "I will shoot the shit out of you!"

It is well said but it leaves out as the number of public servants rise the amount of abuse will also rise. So i agree its not new but have to admit it is most likely more prevalent now then it was in the past.

I had this conversation with several marine corps buddies that are now cops. The problem i have with most that i know is they expect a pat on the back for doing the job while believing doing what it takes to get home at night includes a judge dredd attitude. They throw out there the number of crimes stopped by police presence but didn't find it funny when i broke the numbers down to a .88 crimes per officer per month caught. I would just be happy if they would finally admit their main goal is to generate revenue not stop crime.

gunssavelives.net: SUPREME COURT RULING: Police Have No Duty To Protect The General Public

The decision, with an opinion by Justice Antonin Scalia and dissents from Justices John Paul Stevens and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, overturned a ruling by a federal appeals court in Colorado. The appeals court had permitted a lawsuit to proceed against a Colorado town, Castle Rock, for the failure of the police to respond to a woman's pleas for help after her estranged husband violated a protective order by kidnapping their three young daughters, whom he eventually killed.
