Which will only get more people growing their own. It's a plant that even some of the dumbest people on the planet can get to grow just about anywhere.

It's a new market, so it will eventually have to correct itself. People will start selling seeds, and the shops will have to compete with the do-it-yourselfers.

As explained to me by a friend, there are essentially two types:
-the medical variety, which gets you high, makes you more energetic, and has much more of the stuff that actual has a medical point
-the stuff most people think of that makes you a couch potato

There are potent types of each variety, which mainly get down to the individual growers and the strains they have.

From what I've heard Before Legalization the Average price of 1/8th of an ounce was 50-75$.

Not much difference now in price, except 25% of that is going to Schools/infrastructure.
And the Potency is Vastly increased.

Right now Prices are, as they were when Medical MJ came out. But the prices will fall in a free market.

Um...I saw nothing about anyone complaining the prices were high in that article, just an article saying the prices are high (which really doesn't mean much). As Scion said, the prices will fall considering the article pretty clearly points out (summarizing here) Demand>Supply. Thus shops raised prices (They said to mitigate supply, but lets be honest, it was to make more money).

Besides one of their charts showed Amsterdam had the highest prices by a large margin, and at least I've never heard anyone even mention that.
