Florida Supreme Court Approves Medical Marijuana Initiative To Go On November Ballot

I highly doubt it will pass but all the hype is that 80% of floridians want this. Kind of hard to believe since it took them forever to get enough signatures just to put it on the ballot. Well see in november whether its support has been overstated.

Go Florida! I hope every state passes the recreational version that Colorado has. The States could certainly use the tax money.

It's the Feds that need to fuck off. While they point at their Federal Law with one hand, they are actively collecting tax revenue from pot with the other. They should not be allowed to collect dollar one until they change their stance. As it sits, they don't allow the deductions (like for business expences) that a normal business would be able to write off, because in their eyes, it is an illegal business. If that's the case, they shouln't be collecting dollar one since that money came from a business that isn't supported or protected by the Federal Gov't. They are breaking their own laws by collecting from illegal businesses.....like a silent partner.

Which makes no sense. Texas is supposed to be a place where you don't worry about what your neighbors are doing as long as they are leaving you alone. Texas is also supposed be a place where telling off the Feds is almost a pastime. I fear that the Republicans with their brand of faux conservatism and their faux Christian backers have been in charge too long in my absence from my home state.
