All of the kids should shave their heads.

I showed up in black-face one day. lol....
I had to go home and wash it off before I could return. No suspension. Discretion was used, as well as soap.
Discretion was used, as she was allowed back to school after ONE day. Now we can debate whether the decision was made because of good judgment, or public backlash, but we aren't them, so we will never know.

In regards to your experience I offer that she was given the same options you were given. She could have gone home and put on a wig and returned to school immediately. Also, I will just parrot what everyone always tells me around here when I say "in my day", times are different.

Yeah..."in my day", kids weren't punished for standing up for another human being, or having moral character, or having courage.

Yes, I am certain those were the reasons on the suspension paperwork. I laugh at all of you in this topic who have banned people on the forums for black/white rules like admission of hacking, but bitch and moan about this school telling her to stay home until they make a decision. Granted, TPG isn't RL, but you get the drift, or not.

Very possible/probable. It is also possible/probable that they would have come to the same conclusion without the public backlash, but we will never know because nothing is allowed to happen these days without someone making a public stink about it.

Dude....THAT'S WHY SHE SHAVED HER HEAD, AND WHY SHE WAS SUSPENDED. I capped it, so maybe you'll get it. See how it's all linked together?

You laugh at me? I laugh at your TPG comparison. You of all people know that TPG isn't a democracy.

If that were true she wouldn't have missed a day at school.

Im gonna add just a bit to that as a response to Civil.

We and every other admin have discretion for situations that occur on a server. If everyone followed the rules to the letter the server would be empty 24-7 because we would be banning other admins for minor infractions. I will also add another poor comparison.
