Thread: Mass stabbing at a High School

Amazingly (and thankfully) everyone is expected to survive, some of the injuries sounded pretty gruesome from one of the stories I read.

An attacker armed with two knives has gone on a rampage at a high school in the US state of Pennsylvania, stabbing 21 students and a security guard.

A suspect, named as Alex Hribal, 16, was arrested at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville near Pittsburgh, police said.

He was later charged with four counts of attempted homicide and 21 counts of assault. The wounded, some with serious stab wounds, were as young as 14.

Heard on the news that the kid told police he did it because he wanted to die, but I haven't seen any other stories (in a very small search granted) confirming that.

Sigh...there aren't even words to describe the incomprehensible dirt-bags who would even consider doing something like this. Glad everyone is ok

Yeah, you'd think these kids could go to the school gym and work out their frustrations on a damn punching bag.....nobody gets hurt or dies.

It most certainly can be...and don't give me any of that "I was picked on" BS....I picked on like crazy in school, and I never resorted to this shit.

I think White is refering to the kid's obvious mental illness. Stabbing is such an in your face, personal type of attack, that this kid HAD to have some pretty serious problems to be able to do it again and again and again. This kid had problems that weren't going to be worked out with punching bags or bench presses.

* And everybody gets picked on. It's part of growing up. Sure, some get it much worse than others, but everyone gets some and gives some. All of the laws in the World won't change that.

That's still a cop-out. I take meds and so do some in my family, and they nor I, have ever had the notion, nor urge to stab or try to kill someone.

Keep up the good work. Some others have seen different results. Maybe this kid could have used some meds.

I'm all for killing evil people. I have zero problem with it. I just think this kid is more sick than he is evil.

Medications don't always do a complete job. And if you can't afford them in the first place...

If he just wanted to die he could of went out and stabbed a semi or train problem solved.
