Changes to high drama, Mark 2
It's died down a bit in here lately and the trash that needed taken out has been taken out.
So we're making the high drama forum public again almost exactly a year to the day we made it "hidden".
a) this doesn't mean it's a free-for-all again. Asses will be handed to people doing stupid shit still.
b) those assholes that got shown the door can see the forum again, and post again... But if they waltz back in and start their shit again it's a site ban, not just a sub-forum ban.
c) before any smart-ass decides to throw their hands in the air and go "TOLD YA SO!" and start spouting off about how page views dropped because of us hiding the forum... They didn't. The number of page views now are almost EXACTLY the same as they were then. We looked.
So anyway... we return the drama to you... have fun. Just don't start no major shitstorms.

Does this mean it'll show up in the recent posts block again? If so..I disagree. One of the reasons it was hidden is so newcomers would not have to see the shit slinging.

the vast amount of shit-slinging was taken care of with the banning of a few select individuals.

Personally, I wouldn't care if it did die. I voted no in it's inception. We're a gaming forum, not a political one. I came here in 2005 for the gaming. I don't need to know someone here hates/loves Obama/Bush/The Cookie Monster.

Damn, agreeing with both Guyver and DG in the same week. The end is near...
TLDR - I find it hard to believe that any gamer would choose not to be here if we didn't discuss politics or religion, so if even ONE gamer chooses not to register, or leaves after registering, because we discuss politics or religion too much then we are at a net loss. That being said votes are votes, and the highs have voted. Enjoy.

I personally want the ability to opt out of seeing that. I don't want to discuss politics. I don't want to see politics discussed. In all honesty if I'm forced to see it pollute the recent post bar, I'll just stop coming here.

Hide it, it pisses off one person. Unhide it it pisses of another. Get rid of it it pisses off two more. Add it back and it pisses off more.
So same as we said before goes. We can't make everyone happy with any decision we make.
So, as bad as it sounds, there's the door.
