I didn't want to deal with cutting out parts of a big ass quote but it isn't killing the bank robbers and one civilian is caught in fire. The best example was on the news awhile back, level a 4 story building to try to kill one militant who ends up not even being there.
Or to use the example, it's trying to kill one bank robber and instead killing half the hostages AND missing the bank robber.
Also thought I remember Israel (may have been UN though), saying civilians in Gaza should go to churches/schools/etc as shelter, yet they also say those are where Hamas keeps missiles. If I'm remembering correctly, how does that make any sense?

Hmm. There's about 1.8 million in Gaza.
1% is 18,000. That's a large division. You're saying it's significantly more than 2%.
You think that Hamas, in Gaza, could field three or four large full-strength divisions of hardcore militants?
... I don't mean all the equipment and such, just that it's a lot of people. It's a lot of training. "Hardcore Militant" is more than just a patriotic guy who'd be willing to sit in a trench with an AK if you asked him.
Anyway, I dunno for sure. But it was an interesting exercise to consider the numbers involved.
