Re: ISIS Beheading American Journalist
Only if it works.
And it won't. You can't send hundreds to fight millions, and expect them to win. Gambling our national security solely on contractors is a fool's bet.
Our military will eventually be heavily involved, but we will likely wait until it's too late. We knew when we pulled out that we would be back within 20 years. What is happening is exactly what was predicted years ago by many. Anyone who is surprised has had their head in the sand too long.

Re: ISIS Beheading American Journalist
Private contractors have worked well in Africa for decades now. They work. (They´ve gotten the job done in many places; Africans are still killing each other in Africa, I understand, but private contractors have done what they´ve been hired for there.)
I agree that pulling out (of Iraq, if that´s what you mean) was not good. Going into Iraq was a stupid idea to begin with, but that´s another story. The thing is, ISIS branched off of Al Qaeda in the Syrian conflict though. Yes, they´ve spread into Iraq, but it began in Syria.
