Approximately 100 human brains, complete with their formaldehyde storage casing, have gone missing from the University of Texas in Austin. Psychology professor Tim Schallert told the Austin American-Statesman Tuesday that while they “think somebody may have taken the brains… we don’t know at all for sure.”

It's no surprise really. They kept lowering admissions standards; eventually admitting zombie freshmen.

This, THIS, is the cost of poor public education. Help them develop their minds, and make sure they get a good lunch - or their undeveloped selves will find their lunch wherever they can.

HOUSTON — School officials say about 100 brains reported missing from a University of Texas research lab in Austin were actually destroyed about 12 years ago, because they were in poor condition.
The university released a statement Wednesday saying a preliminary investigation found that environmental workers disposed of the brains after faculty members concluded the specimens weren’t suitable for research or teaching purposes.

So they didn't lose their minds, they fried their brains. Makes sense.

I'd still check out the zombie angle though, just to be sure.
