Re: I'd really like to know...
I'm an uneducated kid when it comes to politics, let alone politics of other countries. That's why I only trust screencaps reddit posted on twitter.

Erm... are you saying that Erdogan ordered his military to stage a false coup?
Or... hmm... that the US or some other foreign power put on a 'coup' as theatrical distraction?
Or are you saying it's all fake - and that if I went to Turkey right now I wouldn't see any tanks or guns and they'd all be smoking hookahs and eating dates?

Nope just that it has been done before and will be done again. A couple dozen lives or even thousands are of no consequence to those behind the curtain as was the case for Vietnam. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_flag

Just because it could be doesn't mean it must be. No, I'm not naive to the point of believing the narrative handed by our political leaders and/or the media (as a matter of a fact, I am stunned by our medias' inability to address Turkey's military motives. I don't know how American news outlets handled the job, but over here, they never even try to address it). All I'm saying is that just because the United States could have benefited from the coup doesn't necessary indicate it was involved in any way. It may, but without any concrete evidence, I think reserving our judgment would be more sensible thing to do. For now anyway.

Please refer to the links, many Gov's have used FF's for a variety of reasons. Turkey's military has tried 4 times now to overthrow the gov. At no point did I infer that the U.S. had anything to do with it only the fact that we have done it in the past, the whole isis mess is a direct result of us interfering in a sovereign country's political affairs.
Just read this could have some relevance. ISIS? enemy is finally getting US help - Business InsiderLast edited by deputyfestus; 07-16-16 at 04:52 PM.
