yeah... I'm (not) suprised that there is not more fuss being made over Obama's many mis-speaks. They sure had a field day with it when Bush did it, using it to exemplify how smart he was not. But Obama gets a free pass because he's not Bush??

Co-worker is going to D.C. next month, so she has been emailing her rep to arrange a White House tour. 2 emails, no answer.

So her 3rd and final email said "Thanks, typical politician, thanks for not even responding saying you were busy." That got a response

I just assumed it was because he was the Not-Bush. The loud mouths put up such a hissy fit while Bush was in office that anything he said or did was overamplified in interpretation as well as impact. So when anyone else comes in, its not Bush, so the critique bar got lowered by multiple settings.

The White House tour is lame......but the Capital is incredible. Tell her to contact her Rep. about it....she may even get to ride on the underground train (goes from one wing to the other). I'm not sure they still give the access they used to,but the Capital is much more interesting than the WH. The WH tour is pretty abbreviated because of security.

I can't believe you guys are actually implying that Obama's every word and misstep is not constantly harped on by a significant segment of the media.

Maybe it's just the people on these forums, and the people at work, and what seems to be every single second of FOX News that isn't an advertisement, that give me that impression. But as far as I know the far right hasn't done anything BUT hang on Obama's every word and misstep and endlessly analyze/strawman it.

Wednesday - Pretend to work, but mostly bs about how someone should do something about YOU KNOW WHO. Then, feverishly worship our corporate gods and prostrate ourselves on the altar of capitalism.
Thursday - Early to bed, Early to rise, and then we'll talk smack about Obama
Friday - Enjoy the sweet taste of freedom as you get ready for the weekend. The same freedom that Obama and his ACORN mafiosos will strip from you because you work hard and they hate that, and you, and all hard-working Americans, and freedom (and guns)
Saturday - VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES
Sunday - PRAISE THE LORD and then watch FOX News in preparation for another glorious week on the Right

New Socialism-loving Liberal Schedule (Jan 2009 - present)

Monday - Try to find out ways to feed the rich and their hard-earned resources to our giant hidden tree farms/pagan altars, such that Mother Earth's bloodlust will be sated for one more week.
Tuesday - Call in and request Lady Gaga from our local radio stations, so that we may turn all kids gay.
Wednesday - Spank to pictures of Rachael Maddow like the godless heathens we are.
Thursday - Take freedom for granted, because all liberals secretly hate freedom. And guns. Not for their killing power, but for their freedom-promoting power.
Friday - Give away other peoples' money. Bonus points if it's the hard-earned money of a hard-working American.
Saturday - VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES
Sunday - ANYTHING BUT CHURCH! Because the devil.

BTW, please do not tell the other liberals that we know the Republican marching orders, or that I gave you our schedule. I do not want to be next sacrifice to the Tree That Drinks Blood.
