I want my politicians to be experienced in life, not trained up as being a politician their life's goal. Career politicians will usually say anything they have to in order to keep their career, which relies on your vote at key times.

I make it a point to never vote for incumbents. Vote against them in the primary, and vote for their opponent to get the message across, assuming I am confident they will still win. either party.
I don't care if one party controls the seat for a long period. If they have the ideas that that district/state wants....fine. But....not one "person". No need for monarchy. cough...shelia jackson....cough.

i'm curious what the dems are going to do in Arizona, their candidate is going to take one either McCain, who the AZ voters are getting tired of, or Hayworth, would couldn't keep his seat in a conservative district (among other things. granted i'll admit i'm bias as i hate hayworth)
