Seriously, I'm pro gun, but did you guys just read "shot dude in house in defense" and not read the entire story? The guy wouldn't even needed his gun if he didn't let the guy into his apartment to begin with. Even further, despite I usually like to help out people, if you don't have the change on you, then say you don't have it.

Again, why are we not acting like the guy who shot the robber, was a dumbass to begin with to even let the guy in his house? Whats next, the guy shooting a robber who walks in through an unlocked door is a super crime fighting hero?

Yeah I don't get it either. He should have told the dude to wait a sec and he would get his wallet or something, not tell the guy to come in his home.

Dumbassery comes in many forms, this story is full of it.

Yeah, dogs make great deterrents for robberies, my dog hates strangers anywhere near our house and will bark up a storm. Friendliest dude ever to family friends though. Of course, my brother and I owning several guns each, pepper spray and machetes doesn't hurt either.

So if the criminals know there are consequences, yet still commit crimes, do you really think this one story will have any impact on their decision making? I doubt it.

everyone having guns only escalates situations shoot first scenarios. If i was gonna do dirt in a state where i knew everyone had a gun I would ambush shoot first not take any chances.

I agree this guy had everyright to shoot the perp and he got what he deserved.
