    Navy Seal Trials

My heart lifted when I read this article, I've been following it for a while but the verdict for one Seal just came out.

Baghdad, Iraq (CNN) -- The first of three Navy SEALs accused of mishandling a suspect in the high-profile killings of contractors in Iraq was found not guilty at a court-martial Thursday.

Too bad the Seals didn't kill them with hand grenades and rifles, then burn their carcasses, then drag them through the streets, then hang them from a bridge.

Seems fair to me......isn't it the Koran that calls for an eye for an eye?

It seems that we take prisoners, while they take videos.

Abed testified Wednesday that he was handcuffed, blindfolded and beaten.
He was lucky that this was the only thing that happened.

It seems that we take prisoners, while they take videos. Which makes us better and more civilized.

That being said, I am happy that he was found innocent.

Here is a shining example of accountability to self.

It's true, and I understand that.....but only we get caught up in this moral equivalency bullshit. Beating the shit out of someone is not the same as brutally torturing and killing them. Mercenaries or soldiers doesn't matter....they were Americans, and more importantly, humans. Let's also not forget that these assholes were basically mercenaries too. They aren't as organized as a real army, and they don't wear uniforms.

These guys should be getting self-control ribbons for not killing this asshole.

Close. . . that's the Old Testament though it is quite possible that it's somewhere in the Koran, but I wouldn't know that, considering I've never read it
