Sure there is such a thing as green paper but debt has always been a party of our country.

Hell I think Adams went to the Netherlands to get a startuploan for our country!

I am sure you know about it already but war helps the economy no matter what. People get paid and budgets are approved.


Thing is there is more green paper than gold.

9/11 attack happens putting an even greater burden on the finance, airline, and many other sectors
The government tries a "poor" plan of propping up the housing market to prevent a total depression
It works like putting a bandaid on a bullet hole
Bailouts are approved
Barry gets elected
Bailouts skyrocket
Government spending is increased exponentially

If you are going to be critical of Bush for trying to use the housing market to artificially insulate the economy, which I can probably agree with you on, then you need to be just as critical of Barry for trying to buy his way out of a recession/depression with imaginary government money. A house of cards is a house of cards no matter who is stacking them in my opinion.
