Its not training on "how to use it" They dont set up targets so kids can shoot good scores.

I am one thousand percent all for gun safety in elementary schools. Kids should learn the difference VERY YOUNG between real guns, movie guns, and toy guns. They should know all the safety features on guns, and KNOW they are not toys to be messed with. It's not college kids shooting themselfs accidentaly cuz they find a gun in their parents room. Its elementary kids who think its "cool" to have a gun (movies/games/toy guns) and are never taught the difference.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES PLEASE put this in schools. Untimately it should be the parents job, but lets face it, parents today fucking suck.
Ignoring you need to call me stupid (which has no point once so ever). It barely mentions what the class would do and yes it possible they teach them how to do it. Plus it mentions setting up "rifle clubs" at schools, what are those going to do?

And I said in elementary they could have classes that teach the basics in prevention, but apparently you skipped that part so you could call me stupid

    Gun safety at school?

    Not in Texas.

Shit they can't even afford to run buses within a 2 mile radius of a student's house here in Katy, Texas.

don't worry....i think he's mentally impaired. just ignore his idiocy

and i don't think "gun safety" should be part of any school curriculum. i believe it indirectly advocates gun rights.

So what do you guys think about the idea of gun safety classes in schools? Keep this mistake in mind too.
That video was from a long time ago but also I hope that's not their definition of gun safety.

    1. It should be done outdoors.
    2. It should be done at a gun range.
    3. If Gun Education was offered in schools it should for kids like 14 or 16+.

More than likely it will be used in middle school and they would make it an elective, not a core class.

    Sounds good to me.

Shooting courses can be done inside. The shooting range I go to is indoors.

Ya I dont think this should be taught in schools as part of the curriculum. Although as an after school program I would certainly be ok with it. It would be like driver's education or something like that as opposed to required math or english courses.

And lord knows we surely don't want decent, law abiding citizens to have the right to keep and own firearms. Think of the burglars and rapists (who often carry guns and other weapons) who could be hurt or killed because some homeowner had the gall to defend him/her self. And we certainly wouldn't want these.....evil gun owners out hunting....

Guns are for Communist Revolutionary types only. Stinky, dirty, smelly ones like Che and Fidel. They help keep the people in line,so their benevolent leaders can do what is best for them. Silly.
