Guns are for Communist Revolutionary types only. Stinky, dirty, smelly ones like Che and Fidel. They help keep the people in line,so their benevolent leaders can do what is best for them. Silly.
head to head, chest to chest, which country is the very best? and in the land of rape and honey, you pray.

In ROTC programs, yes. I was on the rifle squad and I got to mess with all sorts of guns. It needs to be taught with a level of discipline.

This is the same kind of thinking that gets "abstinence only education" taught. The fact is that gun rights exist, and guns exist, so people should know how to deal with them. Also, the idea that education = support is entirely without any merit that I'm aware of.

Dude, if they allowed us to fire guns as a part of the course, I would be all for it. But otherwise it would just give kids reason to not listen to gun safety rules.

    Re: Gun Education: In School's?

so are we all in agreeance that maybe schools could offer an after school program?

We sort of had it at my high school. I was president of the hunting and fishing club. We would sign up for gun classes, trips to the range, and trips to pay lakes and have tournaments.

    So something like that?
