I think you missed his whole point. Just to make it easy forget every other state and think of everyone in the state voting the same california has 10mill with 2 electorial votes and arizona has 8 million with 3 electorials. Ca vote for smith az votes for jones. Jones is now the president. If im not mistaken that is what he is reffering to.

The issue I see is that a lot of you think we live in a Democracy.

    We do not.

We live and vote in a Representative Republic. Big difference.

haha, i never thought i'd see the day where we all agree on something!

since everyone seems to think we need to make a change to electoral system, why hasn't anything been done? it's the same here in canada. actually, it's probably even worse. we have more than 2 parties, and although the "fringe" parties receive a good amount a votes, it's usually spread out, and they end up with very little seats in parliament.

iirc there are 2 states that divide them up in the general election. One is Nebraska, but not sure on the other

edit: found it, apparently it is Maine and Nebraska, though they split it by who wins each district

mhmm, no offence or anything...but what's the point of putting up a poll if people aren't going to be serious about voting?

especially when we were all getting along!
