A US appeals court has struck down a government policy that banned the broadcasting of profanity, ruling that the rule is unconstitutional.
The ruling, for the moment just means that if you don't want your kids to hear "dirty language" then don't let them watch shows that will have it. Amazing idea isn't it?

Re: Swearing Ban goes bye bye
Well it's not even that. In general, it seems parents don't want to parent their kid and just ignore everything the kid buys/watches/does. Where I work I get to see dozens of eight year olds buying games like Grand Theft Auto IV and Manhunt without the parent's so much as asking why I'm asking them if it's OK? Granted it's their prerogative to buy their kids whatever they want, but it seems most of them don't even care what it is they are buying for the kid.
