I disagree, but a more interesting question comes to mind, so for argument's sake, let's say it was. Why are you so much more willing to pay hundreds of billions of dollars for the freedom of one of many potential oppressed countries on the world? If that's the case, surely you don't mind spending a small fraction of that amount to extend unemployment benefits so that Americans can eat, right? Surely you don't have a problem with spending a similar amount of money to reduce American deaths due to lack of access to health care, right?

Thank you for your service, but what does that have to do with anything? We're talking about a different war.
It has the same relevance now as it did a few posts ago when you stated your opinion on it. No, a bridge to China makes no sense. The cost/benefit ratio is way off, why do you ask?

It has to do with we both know you were thinking i was reffering to our current venture in Iraq not the previous one. Which post are reffering to when i mentioned anything about unemployment benifits? I sure dont remember saying anything to the subject what so ever. You sure you responded to the right person?

I assumed that you were talking about the current wars because this thread is about the current wars. And you were talking about Afghanistan and Iraq. And you mentioned the Insurgency, not Saddam's Army. And you discussed deposing Saddam and bringing . Since all of those things only apply to the current Iraq war, I figured that it was a safe assumption to make. Also, I didn't suggest that you had mentioned unemployment or healthcare, I was just wondering. I'm still wondering.

The thread is but the conversation you picked up on was actually about conversations held in the past. If you had read the thread in its entirey you would have probably picked up on it but you could have missed it just as easy skimming through the whole thing. To answer your question no i am not against unemployment benefits being extended for those that are truely trying. I am agianst those that milk the system now being able to do it for a longer time but seperating the two could be extremely hard to do at this point in time. Money isnt really the issue when it comes to either. We could easily sustain everything if the waste wasnt as high as it is.
