I have always voted Republican and agree with some of the Teaparty ideals (lower taxation) and not others (opposition to universal health care). That really has nothing to do with this. Anyone that supports trickery to win an election is, in my opinion, a total and complete asshole. Also, don't get on a high horse with the "they should know who the vote for". Most people from both parties vote with the party that matches their beliefs. They don't, for better or worse, take the time to get to know every candidate.

Try and look beyond your partisanship and see how this is a bad thing, no matter which party is doing it.

It isn't partisanship that drives me to say that the the electorate ought to be informed enough to know about the candidate that they are voting for. High horse my ass......

This is very true.... the reason I despise those idiots who stand out from and ask if I want a sample ballot.
