The 100,000 number is very conservative. It only takes into account violent deaths that have been reported and verified, usually by multiple sources. The number dosen't take into account deaths that go unnoticed, unreported or otherwise ignored. Mostly I posted it to disprove the "1 million Iraqi civillian deaths" number that gets thrown around so often in this kind of discussion.

But really now, I think we can all agree that 100k deaths in 7 years is quite a few...

I would think that the number is about right. I've seen some truely outlandish numbers.
