Discovery channel hostage situation
SILVER SPRING, Md. (Sept. 1) - A gunman who had what police described as "concerns" with the Discovery Channel networks took at least one person hostage in the company's suburban Washington headquarters Wednesday.
Montgomery County Police Capt. Paul Starks would not say if the man works for Discovery

Re: Discovery channel hostage situation
His rant seems to confirm that he had lost it. For someone who was so against humanity, he certainly didn't do much damage against it.
Although he had a history of protest against the Discovery channel, so it doesn't appear to be a crime of passion.
These days, hostage takers, I would say the chips are stacked against them coming out of it alive.

Re: Discovery channel hostage situation
Actually I agree with Kraker. It's good they shot him. I mean no shit he had mental issues. Of course he did. All murderers do. It's sad his wife or kids will be left without a lunatic husband/father, but it's great he got shot.
Yeah, maybe he did have kids or a wife or a cute little puppy with big doe eyes. But he came into a business un announced with bombs strapped to himself and held some random people at gunpoint, threatening to kill them. Say, do you think the three men he had at gunpoint for several hours had wives? Did they have kids? Maybe, maybe not. But I'd trade 1000 murderous psychos for one decent normal dude.
