Re: Obama administration sues Sheriff Joe
They are not allowed to just ask anyone while doing anything wrong. Which means if your loitering in front of a store you have not been detained. That ontop of it was not required to ask every sinlge person about their immigration status where are as in this one they are. Thats the fucking difference.

Re: Obama administration sues Sheriff Joe
Obviously you are a fucking law genious. Loitering in front a store, in most states, is an infraction, not a crime. Police officers can not arrest for misdemeanors (excluding battery, and warrents) unless they are committed in the officers present. And you can only detain someone if there is reasonable suspicious a crime is afoot.
therefore, according to SB 1080, the officers would ONLY questions the citizenship of suspects who were DETAINED for CRIMINAL activity or arrested on a warrent or felonious act.
so then....drum roll please....
what the fuck is the difference?

Re: Obama administration sues Sheriff Joe
Heres the issue your having kraker. The prosed law that was put on hold by the courts is 1070 not 1080. Which allowed them to ask anyone doing anything that is anyway a violation. So heres the drum roll genius. Try reading it. They are not the same.

Re: Obama administration sues Sheriff Joe
Just in case you didnt read either of them.
The Prince William ordinance was modified in 2008 amid charges that it was unconstitutional and could lead to racial profiling. In the end, rather than questioning only people they suspected of being undocumented immigrants, officers were directed to question all criminal suspects about their immigration status once an arrest was made.

You really should start reading shit. Here let me make it even more simple.
Arizona
B. FOR ANY LAWFUL CONTACT MADE BY A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL OR AGENCY
REASONABLE SUSPICION EXISTS THAT THE PERSON IS AN ALIEN
Prince William
officers were directed to question all criminal suspects about their immigration status once an arrest was made.
Does that clear up the differences between them for you?

Re: Obama administration sues Sheriff Joe
Sheriff Joe is an asshole and megalomaniac. He deserves everything that comes his way. According to the article, he refused to turn over records requested by the government, so what did he think would happen? And he has a separate abuse of power suit? Haha.
