Its not as easy as that. We may be thinking on different planes though. I have to look at those laws to avoid paying unemployment. Where your looking at them from the employee side of it. If i wanted to show up and fire everyone yes i could but it would cost me a shit load of money to do so. Now if i can validate the reasons with write ups for inappropriate behavior then im good. So in the end your right you can be fired for anything but it will set you back financially.

But you can still fire them, unemployment notwithstanding....

And basically backs up what I said, the firestarter's rights were not violated when he was fired for burning the koran, because he can be fired for whatever reason, due to his being in a right to work state.

If he is a right to work state i would agree. The only thing i see that may be an issue is if they exspessly told him it was for burning the book. That would be a violation and he probably would win in court if he choose to go that route.
