    Marine recapture ship

U.S. Marines Recapture Ship Held by Somali Pirates

Not a single shot was fired as the Marines recaptured the ship, and no crew members or U.S. personnel were injured, Lt. Fage said. "It was a great execution by our Navy-Marine coordinated team."

Well it would appear by the article we may be stepping it up a notch with the pirate issue. Good deal though job done no one hurt. I also just wanted to point out i remember a conversation where the use of the term commando being used was incorrect when talking about recon/seals. However read the link. I just that was funny.

    Re: Marine recapture ship

    From the article:

The Marines raided the Antigua-Barbuda-flagged, German–owned Magellan Star (pictured in foreground) in a predawn mission 85 miles southeast of Mukallah, Yemen
No offense to our brave men and women, but US Marines should be protecting US assets. Let Antigua-Barbuda or Germany (or Yemen) raid their own ships and reclaim their own shipping.

We aren't the world police (and if we are, then we should be afforded the status and capability of such). The military has much more important things to worry about, like not wasting US taxpayer dollars rescuing foreign-owned, foreign-registered ships from po-dunk Somali pirates off the coast of Yemen.

True, but the taxpayers are also paying for the capture of pirates that have or will have attacked US ships.
