No what weak is your flaming. You know damn well for that statement to be true. Its also an opinion the people in general are humane or that some people would be willing to sacrifice themselves for the well being of another. See how that runs in both directions? Do you know the difference between your examples and mine? How about mine are based in objects that are subject to opinion and your are safe guarded by law.

I am glad you saw the main point to the example though.

When someone consistently either ignores or misunderstands one side's argument, you either stop responding to them or you get mad and say something mean. I just stop responding to them once I give up. Good debate doesn't happen when neither side bothers reading what the other side writes. I try to always read what people are using to refute my points, or what they are stating in the first place. You seem like a nice guy death, but the series of global warming debate is a good example is why you are one of the few people with whom I "agree to disagree" and don't respond much to their posts.

I can not dispute that people do in fact do that stuff. The global warming thing we never saw eye to eye and never were going to. I knew that as well. Some of it may be (i knew i did it but didnt know as to the extent of it until i would go back and reread later) i type alot slower then i think so i leave out key points i meant to make or failed to completely address. I've been working on that but it still isn't 100%. Best part of that is i use to tell my wife all the time to quit leaving me notes for shit with half the words missing. Either way we still aren't going to see eye to eye on global warming.

Yeah, I realize that my arguments are also not 100% and likely miss major points that I'm taking for granted. If I'm posting in the early evening EST I usually just got home from work and dealing with constant chaos all day which adds some more noise into the mix. I do know that debating stuff on these forums has helped me put together arguments better. It was nice being able to confidently throw down politics with one guy in particular (he was as hardcore a Republican as I've seen) and having a bunch of arguments to draw from and counter-arguments to be ready for. A couple months after we went at it for an entire week that he started pushing for me to come down to DC to replace him, which will be in 2 weeks. I think it helps everyone in some way, keeps us sharper than we would be otherwise.

I have a lot of respect for anyone willing to come in here and throw down their beliefs and dive into the melee. As anyone who plays CS:S will know none of it leaves this forum and none of it's personal.

    Agreed on all points.
